Benefit Cosmetics came out with some new eye shadows this past Spring. I’ve been using these for months now and am still in love/impressed with the quality of the shadows. Their new shadows have a longwear formula and come in three finishes including matte, satin and sheen.

Left to right: Nude Swings, Pinky Swear, and Thanks A Latte
Nude Swings is a really nice, light rose gold color. It does have some shimmer to it that sometimes creates fall outs. I love wearing this on my lids as that pop of color especially for the summer time creating that bronzy look. This one didn’t feel quite as soft as Pinky Swear.
Pinky Swear is a very soft matte pink. Feels very soft to the touch -velvety. It’s not chalky and also looks good on the lids. This isn’t as pigmented as Nude Swings, so I usually used MAC’s Painterly Paint Pot when using this to make the color stand out more.
Thanks A Latte is a medium taupe brown sheen. Feels softer than Nude Swings, but not as velvety as Pinky Swear. It has good pigmentation and a perfect crease color.
Overall: I absolutely love these. They are more on the sheer side which is not a negative for me – for I always use an eyeshadow primer anyway. The packaging alone is to die for. I think these are amazing. Out of the three Nude Swings would have to be my favorite for a shadow that I can/would use all year round. It’s just a really flattering color.
